Built on standards you can check
Why owners call us
Most business owners we meet are not bad at running their business. They are simply operating without reliable numbers, and everything downstream of that gets harder.
What we do
Fourteen services across bookkeeping, tax and advisory. Most clients start with one and grow into two or three as the business does.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Monthly bookkeeping that keeps every account reconciled, every transaction categorized correctly, and your numbers ready whenever you need them.
Tax Services
Federal and Florida business returns prepared accurately, filed on time, and explained in language you can act on.
Tax Services
Proactive planning through the year, because by the time the return is being prepared, almost every lever has already been pulled.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Rebuild a QuickBooks file that has drifted out of reality, or set one up correctly the first time, structured around how your business actually operates.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Payroll that runs on time, files itself correctly, and does not turn into a penalty notice six months later.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Senior financial leadership without a senior salary: forecasting, margin analysis, and someone in the room when the decision actually matters.
Why Kingsley
We stayed small so that the person who reviews your work is the person whose name is on the door.
Kingsley is deliberately small. Dariel reviews every engagement, and you have a named accountant who knows your business rather than a support ticket number.
We plan in July and October, not in March when nothing can be changed. Planning clients get a mid-year and a Q4 review as standard, in writing.
You get a fixed quote before work begins and it does not move without your agreement. No hourly surprises, and no hesitation about picking up the phone.
If we cannot explain why a number is what it is in language you can act on, we have not finished the job. Jargon is usually a sign someone is hiding something.
How it works
From the first call to an ongoing rhythm: here is exactly what working with us looks like.
A free 20-minute conversation about where you are, what is not working, and whether we are the right fit. No pitch.
We look at your books, your last return and your systems, then give you a written assessment of what needs fixing and what it costs.
We correct what is broken, structure your accounts properly, and build the monthly rhythm around how your business actually operates.
Monthly reporting you can read, planning reviews before deadlines matter, and an accountant who answers the phone when you call.
Meet the Managing Director
Preparation doesn’t remove complexity, but it removes panic.
Dariel has led Kingsley Accounting Group since May 2017. Before founding the firm she managed audit and advisory services at PM+M Accounting LLP, served as Chief Financial Officer at Bekaert & Holland Accounting LLP, and worked in finance at Whitley Penn Accounting LLP.
That mix matters. Audit taught her where numbers break. The CFO seat taught her which numbers a business owner actually needs. Both inform how every engagement here is run.
Industries
Six specialties where the accounting genuinely differs, and where generic advice costs money.
Tip reporting, food cost tracking and the sales tax rules that catch every new operator.
Agents, investors and property managers: depreciation, 1031s and entity structure.
Consultants, agencies and firms: utilization, entity structure and owner compensation.
Practices, clinics and wellness studios: payer reconciliation and practice profitability.
Job costing, retainage, WIP schedules and bonding-ready financial statements.
Multi-state nexus, marketplace reconciliation, inventory and platform payouts.

Common questions
The questions we get asked most often, answered without hedging.
Most of our clients are owner-operated businesses between roughly $150,000 and $15 million in annual revenue, across South Florida. We also work with individuals whose returns have outgrown software: business owners, landlords, investors and people with multi-state income.
Yes. We are based in Miami and serve clients throughout Florida and across the United States. Federal tax work is location-independent, and we handle multi-state filings routinely. Most of our work happens by video call and secure portal, with in-person meetings available for local clients who prefer them.
Flat fees, agreed before work begins. Monthly services are a fixed monthly amount; project work such as cleanups and tax returns is quoted as a fixed price after we understand the scope. We do not bill hourly, because we would rather you called us than hesitated over the clock.
It is a 20-minute conversation, free and with no pitch. We ask what is not working, what you need, and what your deadlines are. If we are the right fit we propose next steps. If we are not, we will tell you and, where we can, point you somewhere better.
Through an encrypted client portal, not email. You get a login, upload documents as you receive them, and everything stays organized by year and category. Please never email tax documents containing Social Security numbers or account details.
Yes, and the transition is more routine than most people expect. We request your prior returns and accounting file, review them for anything that needs attention, and handle the handover. You do not need to have an awkward conversation first: many people tell their previous accountant only once the new arrangement is in place.

The advice is always the same: "form an S corp, you will save on taxes." Sometimes that is right. Often it is not. Here is the actual arithmetic, with Florida numbers.
Most broken QuickBooks files break the same seven ways. Here is the checklist we run every month, in order, and what each item is really telling you.
